Stories From The Lost have been with us since (almost) the very beginning, releasing 5 albums under dunk!records, so it made perfect sense they’d be joining us on our special 20th Anniversary edition. The Belgian quintet returned last year with an even darker, heavier and bleaker album, one that fully channeled the band's atmospheric and progressive elements and perfectly balanced them with more angular and punchy stoner ones, cunningly capturing a mood more than a sound. Aptly titled “Posthuman” the album was the sonic transposition of the state we are increasingly finding ourselves in, surrounded by ever-intrusive technologies and dystopian landscapes. Grim times ahead is the title of the film this album scores in 40 minutes of tortuous and bludgeoning atmospherics, and trance-inducing lyricism. Post-sludge at its very best, and a dark epic tale for the modern times.
